Hey High School Seniors this one is for you!
I am a High School Senior Photographer that serves Yolo and Solano County. If you are a High School Senior in Winters, Vacaville, Dixon, Woodland, Davis, Esparto, Fairfield or Arbuckle these season apply to you!!!
I love being a photographer here because there are so many different places and scenic changes that we get to take advantage of. So if you are still waiting to schedule your Senior Portraits here are some things to think about in terms of location and your surroundings.
February- I get so many bookings in February because the Almond Orchards go into full bloom and it makes for such a pretty location. Ladies can wear pretty pastels and have a really dreaming soft look for their senior portraits and then for my Gentlemen clients that want a more formal look, think suit and tie, the Almond Orchards make a really unique setting.
March- This is usually a good time for wild flowers!! One of my favorite times of the year to shoot. We are surrounds by hills and valleys that offer a variety of natural wild flowers.
April-I haven't shoot with the Lupines yet but it is on my list this year. So if you are 2023 Senior that is interested in shooting in a field of Lupines please, please message me!! If not I will just have to talk one of my Milestone Seniors into it. LOL!!!
May- We have the Dixon May fair. I did some really fun marketing work at the fair last year and the photos turned out SOOOOOOO cute!!! I can't wait to take my JV Rep team out there this year. If you are a High School Senior looking for a colorful and unique location the Dixon May Fair is a great location!! Just keep in mind that there will be people watching so if your shy this probably isn't ideal for you.
May and June-May and June is a great time for Rose Gardens. Again this is something I haven't done before but I am dying to do. I think one of my Milestone Seniors is actually considering this for their Deluxe Senior Photo Package and I can't wait. I am so excited!!!
June- I know of a beautiful flower garden in Fairfield that makes an absolutely beautiful location for Senior Photos!! I took my JV Rep team there last year and the photos turned out so cute!! I also did a Senior Shoot there last year and it is still one of my favorite shoots to date.
July_ We have both Lavender and Sunflowers in July. July is more of a 2024 Senior Shoot as it would technically be the summer after 2023 High School Seniors graduate but there is nothing to say you can't take your Senior Photos a little late. For Lavender sessions the pricing for a lot of photographers is a little higher because we have to pay a pretty penny to use the fields but it is such a pretty location and I feel like it would be worth every penny!!
I would love to be your Senior Photographer but no matter who you select to capture this special time in your life please be respectful in the area that you select for your photos. Be mindful of where you step and try your best to not harm the landscape and flowers so that other people can enjoy the beauty of our landscapes.
